About Get Into It Drop-Ins - Intro to Linklater Vocal Technique
Our monthly drop-in sessions are the perfect way to try out a new creative artform in a relaxed, no-pressure setting. Come every month or as and when you can make it, each session is stand-alone and low commitment.
Unlock the full potential of your voice in this dynamic 90-minute workshop with director April Singley. Discover the Linklater Techniques, which are designed to release tension, expand vocal range and enhance your natural expression. Whether for work, play, or performance, this session offers practical tools to bring ease and authenticity to your communication.
When and where do sessions take place?
This practical workshop will take place in the Rehearsal Room in the Steven Pimlott Building, onsite at Chichester Festival Theatre, on Monday 17 February from 11:30-1pm.
Cost and bursaries
Drop-In sessions cost just £10 per person. You can book your space in advance or, as the name suggests, you can simply drop-in on the day.
We believe everyone should have the chance to take part, so if cost feels like a barrier, don’t hesitate to reach out and ask about our bursary scheme. For more information, email us at [email protected]—we’d love to hear from you.
About the practitioner
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, April trained at Shakespeare and Company and began her career acting in film and regional theatres throughout the US before moving to the UK, where she attended drama school at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. It was there that she furthered her acting and Linklater voice work, establishing herself as an actor in the UK. April is a founding member of The Crowbait Club, an organisation dedicated to the cultivation of new plays, as well as a new Portsmouth-based theatre company, Mary Rose Productions.
